Weekly Challenges
Tips
Practise makes perfect! Getting a clean run without any crashes, managing your available boost well and taking the routes best suited to your vehicle type will guarantee success in any challenge. Discovering these routes and then executing a clean race is where the challenge lies, however, so you may need to experiment with different approaches and get a feel for each event to be able to beat the target and earn the reward!

What are Weekly Challenges?
Three fresh racing challenges are open to play in the Special Events area of Wreckreation every week. Take on the challenge for each of the Rookie, Pro and Veteran characters and beat the specified target to earn a nice boost to your chip reward total!
A PlayStation Network account is required to participate in Weekly Challenges.
Targets
There are two target types: beat the specified time or finish higher than the specified position. The target can be seen on the reverse of the challenge ticket in the game, and on the HUD while racing.
Rewards
Weekly Challenges offer you a great opportunity to boost your chip total. There are 30,000 chips on the table every week and to claim them you’ll need to beat the specified target in a Rookie, Pro and Veteran challenge. Chips, if you didn’t already know, unlock new Ranks and rewards in the game, as well as several PlayStation®Trophies.
The 30,000 chips are split across the challenges and each reward can only be claimed once per event:
- Rookie Weekly Challenges have a one-time 5,000 chip reward for beating the target.
- Pro Weekly Challenges have a one-time 10,000 chip reward for beating the target.
- Veteran Weekly Challenges have a one-time 15,000 chip reward for beating the target.
The available races change at the same time every week (on a Wednesday), meaning that there are new challenges to take on and more chip rewards if you can beat them. Good luck!
Completion & Competition
You must be connected to the PSN and MotorStorm Apocalypse servers for successful completion to be recorded. Once the target is beaten, you may still play the event to challenge yourself, improve your personal best time and see how you measure up against friends or MotorStormers around the world on the leaderboard.
When are Weekly Challenges updated?
Weekly Challenges are updated on a weekly basis, as the name suggests. This means that there is a 7-day window of opportunity to take part in any of the three available challenges. During this time the Rookie, Pro and Veteran challenges may be played any number of times and in any order. The chip rewards for each event will only be awarded once, on the first time the challenge target is succeeded.
There is a timer at the bottom of the Weekly Challenges screen which indicates how much time remains to play the current challenges. When this timer counts down to zero, the previous challenges expire and the following week’s challenges replace them.
